The 15th Advisory Forum on Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe concluded with a closing ceremony held at the museum building of the Zvartnots Historical and Cultural Reserve, during which certificates were presented to the forum participants.

ESCS Deputy Minister Alfred Kocharyan attended the event.

The forum is one of the flagship annual events of the Council of Europe’s Cultural Routes Program, bringing together representatives of the program’s member states, certified Cultural Routes and those pending certification, international organizations, universities, local and regional authorities, civil society, as well as stakeholders from the cultural, heritage and tourism sectors.

Welcoming the participants and highlighting the significance of holding the forum in Armenia as an exceptional cultural event, Deputy Minister Alfred Kocharyan emphasized that such events open new avenues for cultural dialogue. He expressed hope that the forum will help advance Armenia’s process of joining new Cultural Routes.

One of the key outcomes of the forum was the development of a framework of recommendations for Cultural Routes. It sets out principles and practical approaches to help implement efficient educational programs by integrating cultural heritage into various learning formats and ensuring the participation of different segments of society.

Alongside the professional discussions, the guests had the opportunity to explore Armenia’s historical and cultural heritage and experience its contemporary cultural life.
