Armenia and the “Tour of Armenia” in the spotlight of international media

The “Tour of Armenia,” an international professional multi-stage cycling race held in Armenia for the first time, has attracted extensive international media attention, featuring across global news agencies, major sports broadcasters, specialized media outlets, and national cycling federations.
The race received coverage across Europe, Asia, North and South America. This broad international media exposure has provided global audiences with an opportunity to discover not only the “Tour of Armenia” multi-stage cycling race, but also Armenia, showcasing its landscapes, cities, historical monuments, and tourist destinations.
Reports on the race were published by China’s Xinhua News Agency and China.org.cn; NAMPA in the United States; Colombia’s specialized cycling publication Revista Mundo Ciclístico; and Argentina’s Demedios. In Spain and across the European specialized media landscape, the race was covered by EsCiclismo and Ciclo21, while RoadCycling.cz reported on the event in the Czech Republic. Race results were also featured on international cycling platforms such as ProCyclingStats and CyclingFlash.
At the same time, the “Tour of Armenia” was aired on HBO Max, Disney+, ESPN, FloSports, Okko, SBS, SPOTV, and Zhibo TV. Eurosport Poland published video coverage of the final stage of the race, while the event was also featured on the Polish cycling platform TurdeTur, the country’s national radio, and the official pages of the Polish Cycling Federation.
The “Tour of Armenia” received particularly extensive coverage in Italy. The race was featured by Sky Sport and Italy’s leading sports daily, La Gazzetta dello Sport. Coverage was also carried by major Italian news agencies and sports platforms, including AGI, Italpress, LaPresse, ANSA, Adnkronos, Sport Mediaset, and Sportface. Cycling-specific outlets such as Tuttobiciweb, BiciSport, CyclingPro/SpazioCiclismo, OA Sport, Ultimo Chilometro, and Ciclismo Oggi provided regular coverage of the race and its individual stages. The event was also covered by Il Giornale di Vicenza, MTB.it, Sport Parma, Gazzetta delle Valli, Quotidiano Sportivo, ADN24.it, Zazoom.it, and other Italian media outlets.
The participating teams also contributed to the race’s growing international visibility, sharing updates on the event through their official websites and social media platforms. These included the British “Netcompany INEOS,” Japan’s “Team UKYO,” the Czech “ATT Investments,” Italy’s “Solution Tech–Nippo–Rali” and “Swatt Club,” as well as Portugal’s “Óbidos” team.
