Today, within the framework of the 83rd session of the Governing Board of the International Science and Technology Centre (ISTC), held at the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Zhanna Andreasyan had a meeting ISTC Executive Director Karina Angelieva. The parties discussed opportunities to further advance the Centre’s activities, modernize its governance system and expand cooperation with Armenia.

Welcoming Karina Angelieva, Zhanna Andreasyan highly praised the longstanding and productive partnership between Armenia and the International Science and Technology Centre, highlighting Armenia’s active engagement in the Centre’s activities.

The Minister noted that the development of science and research is among the priorities of the RA Government. She emphasized that the reforms being implemented in the sector are aimed at strengthening Armenia’s scientific capacity, expanding the country’s engagement in international research platforms and establishing new partnerships.

Karina Angelieva presented the latest developments in the Centre’s activities and outlined the ongoing efforts to modernize its governance system.

The parties reaffirmed their commitment to continuing their cooperation and advancing joint scientific research initiatives.
