Prospects for Armenia-Egypt cooperation in the fields of higher education and science were discussed

As part of her working visit to France, ESCS Minister Zhanna Andreasyan had a meeting with Egypt's Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Abdelaziz Konsowa.
RA ESCS Deputy Minister Arthur Martirosyan and Armenia's Permanent Representative to UNESCO Aram Hakobyan attended the meeting.
The parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation between Armenia and Egypt in the fields of education, higher education, and science, emphasizing the significance of strengthening academic ties and promoting the exchange of experience between the two countries.
ESCS Minister Zhanna Andreasyan presented the ongoing reforms in Armenia's higher education and science sectors, with a particular focus on the “Academic City” project, noting that special importance is attached to the involvement of international partners.
Armenia–Egypt sectoral cooperation program, which is currently under development, was also discussed. Views were exchanged on strengthening cooperation in higher education and on the mutual recognition of educational qualifications.
The parties expressed interest in implementing joint research programs, co-financing scientific grants, as well as expanding cooperation between higher education institutions and scientific organizations of the two countries.
