The 23rd Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival concluded with a closing awards ceremony held at the Cinema House, where prize winners were announced.

The Golden Apricot International Film Festival is held with the support of the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport as part of the state's budget program for the film sector.

In the International Feature Film Competition, the festival's top award, the “Golden Apricot”, was presented to “The Currents” by Milagros Mumenthaler. The “Silver Apricot” was awarded to “Past, Future, Continuous” by Morteza Ahmadvand and Firouzeh Khosrovani, while “London” by Sebastian Brameshuber received a Special Mention from the International Jury.

In the Regional Competition, the “Golden Apricot” went to “Inside Amir” by Amir Azizi, while the “Silver Apricot” was awarded to “Dry Leaf” by Alexandre Koberidze. The “Dry Leaf” also received the FIPRESCI Prize, presented by the International Federation of Film Critics

In the “Koriz” Short Film Competition, the “Golden Apricot” was awarded to “Dialogues Solitaire” by Seruzh Hovsepyan. The film also received the “Gennadi Melkonyan” Special Prize. The “Silver Apricot” in the category went to the “Paid Mourners” by Ovsanna Gevorgyan.

The jury also presented Special Mentions to the films “Relic” by Sona Khachatryan and “Together Alone” by Artur Sahakyan. Teresa Nvotová's film “The Father” additionally received the Distribution Award for Armenia and Georgia, which includes €6,000 in financial support to facilitate the film's regional release.

The festival's “Parajanov's Thaler” prize was presented to Mahmoud Kalari, Chair of the Regional Competition Jury, while the “Master” prize was presented to Hollywood producer Sev Ohanian. Film historian and director Mark Cousins was also honoured with the “Master” prize.

The festival concluded with the screening of “Once Within a Time” by Godfrey Reggio.
